[And true to his word, Yusuke arrives in around ten to fifteen minutes. He had to change out of paint-stained clothes and now looks pristine in a white button-up and jeans. He does knock on the door to let him know he's arrived, before entering the apartment.]

Wow, it's true.

[But whatever, if Yusuke doesn't believe him, that's fine. A little weird, but whatever.

Either way, Kazuya is there for him when he arrives, motioning for him to further come inside. The inside of his room is far less opulent than the surrounding hallways... It's very Normal Traditional House feeling and in style, though the kitchen and dining areas are certainly big enough.]

Welcome. You can make yourself comfortable wherever.

[People don't just proclaim themselves to be Kings you know!

But, in the end, it doesn't matter. He's a bit stunned at how Japanese the entire house/room is, and he can't help looking surprised when he steps in. He even takes off his shoes by the door. It feels... nice. Welcoming. Surreal.]

Thank you. [He looks around, at the kitchen and living room, and then turns to Kazuya.] This is for you.

[A "housewarming" gift - it's only normal to bring something when one gets a new place, right? It's a wrapped parcel, but it has one of Yusuke's paintings of a, what a coincidence, Japanese home, a little pond, a sakura tree, and a woman in a kimono sitting on the little bridge over the pond, playing shamisen. All done in ink and calligraphy-like strokes.]

[He'll take the piece of artwork! And look at it, very impressed.]

[He knew the other was an artist, but... He hasn't really gotten to see said art other than when he'd gotten mad at him with the pie. Whoops!

Anyway, he'll have to find a spot for it. Somewhere nice, where everyone can see it, but out of the way where it won't accidentally get bumped somehow.]

[Well, his room also wasn't filled with artwork the one time Kazuya came to visit. Since then it's been filled out with canvases and his artwork.

He needs a gallery, desperately. Or a bigger room.]

I think so too. At least, until I decide to change my room to something like a very evil and spooky castle.

[Get it? Because he's a demon king??? Except he has zero interest in doing that sort of thing. Though maybe he can talk with someone else for designing somewhere more ritzy in the future. Unfortunately, he just very much likes normalcy and pretending to be normal.]

Maybe I can put it in the dining area...?

[He doesn't get it. He's more interested in the techniques and how one changes a Japanese-styled room into a castle without having to bulldoze things. Of course, he knows MAGIC is the answer but he'd like details, please.]

That sounds good. Do you need me to help you hang it? I can make sure it's not crooked on the wall.

Yeah? You can set these rooms to however you want them to look. I think it's just technology too, which is pretty incredible. This room was waaaay more fancy before I changed it over to this.

[ Which like, he very much prefers this over that. He doesn't really have that highclass blood in him.... Sort of. ]

And don't worry about it for right now. You're here to try some of my sweets, not hang pictures.

[ And Yusuke is impressed by the fact that Kazuya didn't actually get the most lavish rooms ever. The guy scored great virtual points with Yusuke on that.]

Oh no, it's not a problem. Hanging paintings is my favourite thing. It means work is complete and ready for others to enjoy. It's part of my job. Sweets can wait five minutes.

In that case, lets find a good spot for it.

[ Since it means so much to him! He's not about to say that this gift can wait five minutes, that'd be pretty rude, right?

He'll motion for Yusuke to follow him into the dining area, something larger, a little more fancy, but still rather cozy. Obviously it's meant more for guests than to really impress. ]

Maybe on the back wall in here so everyone can see it when they walk in?

[Good art needs a good spot! He's stopped being humble here, he KNOWS his art outranks the vulgarities on the walls of this Hotel. Even if he did nudes, they would be tasteful and pleasing to look at, not done for shock value.

He follows Kazuya into the dining area and nods at the suggested wall.]

That looks like a good spot. Do you want to hang it or should I?

I can hang it? If you want to give me your opinion on where it should go for the best aesthetic look.

[Because Yusuke seems to have an eye for that kind of thing, after all. And it won't be too hard to just teleport it not only up, but just slightly into the wall enough that it stays put without the need for something like a hammer and nail.]

Yes, you can hang it there. It makes the room appear more cheerful and relaxed.

[It's quite convenient to have abilities like that, Yusuke sometimes envies people who still have their powers around. He's a menace with a brush, he won't hesitate to defend himself by stabbing someone in the eye with it, but he'd rather have his persona with him.]

[ Please don't put out his eye... He'd hate to have to resort to violence in return. :(

Anyway, he's quick to put up the painting where Yusuke agrees, letting it leave his hands so its ledged into the wall slightly. ]

Now that that's taken care of... It's my turn to treat you. Sit wherever you want, I'll be back out in a second, okay?

That said, Kazuya does get a look at the word 'treat', but takes a seat nonetheless. It is a wonderful Japanese room and kitchen, it feels cut off from the flamboyant hotel, and he's going to enjoy it.]

About a day or so after the basement started flooding. You aren't the first I invited here, sorry.

[When did basement start to flood? He probably missed something, since his room has been on higher floors. It's easy to miss the lower floor's "events".]

I am glad they moved you from there.

Me too... Not that I spent much time in my room anyway, but at least my clothes didn't get completely swamped. I know people just under my floor really had it bad though.

[Poor Makoto...]

Anyway... Let me go get the stuff I made for you to try.

[Hold on while he goes to get his prepared deserts! It's a smaller spread than what he'd prepared for Makoto, but there's some various treats all the same! He's learned not to go too overboard. Some cute Rakugan and some tea to go with them, a few dango and a few cutely shaped mochi balls. Really, nothing crazy. Though there are a few fried sweets with a custard filling in them in the shape of rabbits too.

He sets it all in front of Yusuke expectantly.]

Previous room or this room? [Because Yusuke knows for sure that he'd spend a lot of time here, disassociating from the rest of the world, if he could.

There is an obvious look of surprise on his face when the sweets are presented to him, in a "I never saw this in store, what's happening, these are so cute".]

Where did you find these? [He gingerly picks up one of the fried rabbits to look at- they look perfect!]

I didn't find them. I made them. Like I said. [But it's a good sign of quality, right? That they look storemade?]

[When he mentioned it the first time it kind of escaped him, but now that he points it out, they do look handmade. Which is even better!]

Are you sure you're not an artist? [He WANTS to eat these, but they are so pretty!]

My cousin loves sweets, so I learned how to cook, and more importantly, how to make them when I was younger. Traditional Japanese sweets are his favourite, so I put a lot of work into learning how to make those in particular.

[Which is why there's so much care put into them to begin with.]

That is very kind of you. I unfortunately had no opportunity to learn.

[Due to many reasons. Mostly due to Madarame keeping him cut off from others so he could "focus" on art and growth.

Glad I haven't lost my touch then! It's been a really long time since I've been able to go all out and make them. The texture is okay too, right? Not too chewy?

The place gave you an opportunity so I'm glad you took it. [People keep changing rooms all around so who knows if it will send Kazuya somewhere else in a month or two.]

Not at all. The texture is incredible and it's perfectly sweet. It has been a while since I had a decent dessert.
