[Give Kazuya like an hour after the network pettiness. Just an hour, until he's simmered down a little and come up with a plan.

A French Vanilla Almond Creampie appears on Yusuke's table in his room. Along with a note that reads:

Since you wanted me to give you a pie so bad, here's a cream pie to hold you over until you can get the real thing.

It may or may not be drugged ;)

[Yusuke's been acting all high and mighty in his room, fuming because it's just a slice of pie when the ENTIRE pie poofed into his room.

And he just stared at it.

Is he petty enough? He's petty enough.

He saves a slice, just in case, it probably is spiked with something like most things here are. He HATES wasting food but he has several reasons not to eat this. So, not to be a waste...

After several hours, say 11PM, Kazuya gets a text message-]

Yes, they came up to the lobby as well. We managed to evacuate people from there to upper floors.

While the outside door is extravagantly fancy, the inside of the room just... Looks like that of a stereotypical, modern Japanese house. Just with a very fancy kitchen and dining room.]

He ponders the drugged slice of pie and if this is some new way to mess with him. But he's also terribly curious as to how it happened that Kazuya's at the top suit now.]

[On the surface, the meeting, date- whatever one wants to call this meet up at dinner time- looks like a pure business deal. And, perhaps, it is for someone not involved in it. And Yusuke SHOULD not feel so wired up about it and excited as he does because they are "just" swapping cards. They'd need just an 8 to obtain at a later date and it's a great combo for the -game-.

But Yusuke can't help himself, it's been a while since he felt this jittery about meeting up with someone. Perhaps it's just the nerves because Gladio is that hot and he feels lucky to have things go this way. This wasn't planned by any means, but he'd be a filthy lair if he didn't think about it every time he saw the guy or went through his sketches.

He leaves for Gladio's room on time, making sure to shower and change clothes beforehand; he can't just waltz to his apartment splattered in paint. He has the requested sketchbook in his shoulderbag, with empty papers AND sketches he did of Gladio- he's not sure what was the purpose of this request so he brought both. He's right on the dot when he knocks on the door of Gladio's apartment and looks around- he's barely gone a few floors up and the change is drastic. It will never fail to baffle him.]

[ It's not a date, not really, and that's something he's let roll around in his thought off and on all day. Through breakfast, through some lunchtime losses at blackjack, through his evening workout. He's freshly showered, but still in gym clothes—all black, cut-off sweats and a sleeveless tee—pulling double duty as pajamas since he's considering himself in for the evening. He's also ensured (three times and counting) that the spare bedroom's mini-fridge is stocked with all kinds of non-alcoholic options, and that the bedside tables are stocked with...

Well, the other kinds of things they're likely to need.

Even when the knock at the door comes, he's barely expecting it, jumping to his feet in the kind of instinctive attentiveness only years of acting bodyguard to a crown prince will bring. Slippered feet (also black, of course), glide across the hardwood floor to greet Yusuke at the door. A smug yet somewhat sheepish grin blooms on his face immediately, at the sight of what he assumes is an overnight bag, but also at the choice of outfit. ]

You're making me feel underdressed.

[ He bites back a "kid" at the end. Now's not the time for that. ]

C'mon. [ Said as he steps aside, waves him in, leads the way maybe too abruptly through the open plan living room and kitchenette, towards the corridor leading to the bedrooms. ] You already eat?

I can see how the camera can get you in such a position. The hotel here wouldn't care about it, might even encourage it. Just a word of caution to watch out.

Miss Ann is my friend from Tokyo. She isn't here. Why she went snooping, is a bit of a complicated thing. She wanted to find some information on my mentor and used every way she knew for it. Considering everything that transpired after, I cannot really blame her.

[the topic of Akechi wasn't exactly taboo as much as Akira genuinely didn't know how to bring it up when he was so much farther in the timeline than both of them. how does one bring up the topic of the detective's untimely demise when he isn't sure whether either of them are aware of it yet?? that was a question to which Akira had no answers]

[While Yusuke's aware of the fact that Akechi is THE guy, he doesn't know his ultimate destiny- even when chats about the future came up, he refused to hear about it.

That said... Yusuke doesn't like how quiet Akechi's been. He didn't murder anyone (or attempted to as far as he knew, only death threats on the network), but that didn't mean it wouldn't happen eventually.]

Um... [there's a shadow of concern flashing over his expression as he turns to look at the food in question- not because Ann wants to try it, everyone at some point gets curious about it! He's worried more about the amount used in them. It's why he steers clear of such items in public.

The person packing up said croissants is looking at them extremely expectantly, ready to pack them up whatever they ask for.]

...I am only worried about the strength of aphrodisiacs used. It might render you unable to think about anything else for a while, and extremely impatient for it as well. [If he describes him All Might and approves of the sketch Yusuke does from the description, he might actually do a nice sketch for him! You know, it's easier to push back sentimentality when you have an item to do so!

At the implication, Yusuke's entire demeanor changes in an instant. His eyes lock onto Bakugo as if they are glued or connection frozen between them, the temperature dropping despite the shower being very, very pleasant and warm. If he had his ice powers, he'd turn the entire shower into an ice cubicle.]

You have no idea what my willpower is. [This is perhaps the first time Bakugo sees him even remotely annoyed. Even with knowledge that if he picked a fight with this guy and a chance of ending up in pieces, he does not seem to hesitate or care.] Your ignorance towards what these things will be your undoing.

[He doesn't shut off the shower, but he does step out, grabbing the towel he prepared beforehand and wrapping it tightly around himself and stepping out of the room.

Needless to say, Bakugo stepped on a landmine. Of sorts.]
